The Sanitas Group will be responsible for Spanish Real Madrid's medical services, beginning in the upcoming season and continuing through to 2013. Through the newly-formed partnership, Real Madrid will gain access to leading specialists and state-of-the-art medical equipment. They will also have the opportunity to take advantage of the centres, labs and networks owned by Bupa, parent company of the Sanitas Group. The Medical Centre will be run by Doctor Carlos Diez Sánchez and will cater to football and basketball players and their families. According to a recent statement issued by the club, they hope to find themselves at the centre of sports medicine and improve the Centre to a point "which will help to improve the diagnosis, prevention and speedy recovery of injuries of all Real Madrid players."
