Tonight was a big night for harness racing fans across Canada, including those at Hanover Raceway. Hanover brought back its 1.5 mile distance race Raceway also had its own special featured race of the evening which was a 1 ½ distance race. Jacks Table was the victor for co-owner Joe Ruppel of Listowel. Ruppel says his 8 year old didn't have a problem with the extra distance, in fact he can run all day. 12 year old Brett Maverick a former record holder in the race was 2nd, while Sand Olls Dilinger owned by Dale Fritz of Walkerton was 3rd. There will be at least four more distance races throughout the season, with the top 9 money earners coming back on the final day of the season to compete for $9,000 dollars.
