Caroline Carns: Ballet for everybody

By Jennifer Jacob / staff writer When Caroline Carns bought a one-way ticket to New York 26 years ago, she had no idea she would one day wind up in Meridian, Miss., but she's glad she did. Originally from Nottingham, England, Caroline knew from a very early age that she wanted to be a dancer. She's taught dance for decades, and has gone all over the U.K. and the U.S. pursuing her passion. Besides Nottingham, Caroline has lived in Surrey, London, New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, and moved from Nashville to Meridian earlier this year. She came here with her husband, Gypsy, when he took a job as a plant manager at Peavey, and she soon found work as a ballet instructor at Carol Merrill School of Dance.
