MIAMI -- Kyle Kendrick's rough outing allowed the Marlins to even the series with Philadelphia, negating a two-homer performance from Pat Burrell. Spanked in a 9-5 loss at Dolphin Stadium, Kendrick surrendered seven earned runs and three home runs, both career highs. Kendrick gave up the three home runs to the team which leads the league in hitting them. Backup catcher John Baker hit the first one, a three-run shot in the second, and Jeremy Hermida and Dan Uggla added clouts in the fifth, when Kendrick was removed. Scott Olsen survived five innings for the Marlins, who pulled within 1 1/2 games of first-place Philadelphia in the National League East.
