RFID Usage in the Patient Care Environment Gets Clean Bill of Health

Carmel, IN (PRWEB) July 17, 2008 -- Hospitals and other patient care facilities are safe using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) in their facilities, according to a new study by BlueBean and Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). The study determined that passive RFID can be safely used in a hospital environment. The study, which was completed in March 2008, tested 25 common medical devices resulting in 1600 performance assessments.
