OGAKI, Gifu -- Two bodies were found inside car that was spotted burning in a riverbed here in the predawn hours of Saturday, police said. Police said a 31-year-old man driving past the area spotted the burning car in a dry riverbed at about 3:35 a.m. When police arrived at the scene, they found the bodies of two people, thought to be adults, in the driver's seat and passenger seat. They are trying to confirm the identities of the pair. Investigators said that the vehicle belonged to a 64-year-old unemployed man from Kuwana, Mie Prefecture. It was located at the bottom of a road leading from a dike road to the riverbed, and did not appear to have been in an accident, police said.
