Inmate gets out of OSCI, hops bus, robs bank

Associated Press • July 19, 2008 MILWAUKEE (AP) - Police say that just hours after a convicted robber finished his sentence and was released from the Oshkosh Correctional Institution, he hopped a Greyhound bus to Milwaukee where he robbed another bank. Police say the man robbed the M&I Bank branch in the Bay View neighborhood on July 1 and a National City Bank in St. Francis on July 11. Milwaukee police say the man was arrested in Cudahy on July 12. Charges in both robberies could be filed Friday by the Milwaukee County district attorney. The man served a sentence at Oshkosh for felony theft in a 2005 bank robbery. They say the only cash he had in his pocket upon leaving prison was money he borrowed from another...
