3M Championship: First-round groove is unmatched

A well-rehearsed -- if not well-rested -- Dana Quigley torched Blaine's TPC with a course record. 3M CHAMPIONSHIP FIRST ROUND Through Sunday • TPC Twin Cities, Blaine TV: 4:30-6 p.m. (The Golf Channel) Two hundred thirty-six holes is all Dana Quigley played Tuesday through Friday last week back home in Florida. Then for a breather, Quigley played "just" 36 holes on the weekend -- so he would have time to watch golf on TV, of course -- before heading north to take part in this week's 3M Championship. He brought with him some changes. When he arrived at TPC Twin Cities for the Champions Tour event, Quigley had ditched his crosshand putting grip and instead went with a standard righthanded interlocking form to go along with his month-old belly putter.
