One week ago today, I stood in line outside an O2 store in Belfast, waiting for it to open (at 8:02a.m.) so I could get an iPhone. I feel foolish about that now. Let's go through the whole sorry saga together. The store opened just after 8. They brought out water and muffins for the folks standing in line, but it looked like it could be a long wait. There were about 30 folks ahead of me in the queue, but the staff said they had 'plenty' of iPhones so I didn't think it would be a problem. At 9:45a.m., when we were about half-way through the queue, an O2 staff person came out and said they didn't have any 16GB iPhones left in stock. Arse.
