Daily Star staff Saturday, July 19, 2008 BEIRUT: Senior Shiite cleric Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah said on Friday that the new Cabinet should be committed to national unity where all "personal and sectarian ambitions give way to the ambition of building a new country." In his weekly Friday sermon delivered from the Imamayn Hassanayn Mosque in Haret Hreik, Fadlallah called for building an independent country "where all citizens meet to lift it up on the economic, political and security levels." "We want the new ministers to consider their positions as a responsibility to be assumed and not as a distinguishing honor," he said.
