A bunch of us (The Chocolate Lovers Travel Club) just got back from Belize - we traveled with Clay Gordon, author of Discover Chocolate. Clay took us to an incredible cacao plantation, we harvested cacao pods and beans and then learned to make chocolate bars from scratch. He brought lots of chocolate for us to compare during several chocolate tastings. What a blast! We attended the Toledo Cacao Festival, went snorkeling in the Caribbean and visited Mayan ruins. We even stayed at a green luxury resort outside of Punta Gorda. Get this, there was even a Obama USA sign in the front yard of this Belize guy's home!
