Brac hosts first Cadet Summer Camp

South Sound Cadet detachment being inspected during competition. History was created in Cayman Brac earlier this month when the Cadet Corps brought its Summer Camp to the Sister Island for the first time since its seven-year existence. The camp, which is 113 cadets strong, started with advance contingents from Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac on Saturday, 5 July. Four detachments, representing Cayman Brac, Marines, South Sound and George Town are presently on Island. Senior cadets are using that opportunity to train their juniors. According to the organisation, the camp has gone exceptionally well in the first week. There was a very exciting foot drill competition, which took place last week.
