How To Make Your Mother's Day Special This Year

Mother's Day is now celebrated around the world, and one of the latest trends is for people to send free e-cards to show their appreciation. This is partly due to people living so far apart, and also because people just don't have the time, so they turn to ecards. Modern Mother's Day grew out of ancient springtime festivals celebrating fertility and mother goddesses. For example, the Phrygians of Asia Minor honored Cybele, the mother of all Phrygian gods with an annual festival; the ancient Greek springtime event was dedicated to their mother goddess, Rhea.
