Posted to the web 18 July 2008 Harare A 21-YEAR-OLD Harare woman accused of raping a one-year-old boy and infecting him with a sexually transmitted disease appeared at the Harare Magistrates Courts on Wednesday. Fungisai Zvokumbu of Glen View was remanded in custody to July 30 when she was briefly arraigned before magistrate Mr Daniel Shonhiwa. It is the State's case that some time this month, the complainant's mother went to Mozambique and left her son in the custody of Zvokumbu who was at the time engaged as a maid. When the mother returned, she discovered that her son was not feeling well and the accused told her that he was suffering from diarrhoea.
