Pens' home slate starts against Devils

By Tricia Lafferty TRIBUNE-REVIEW The Penguins will open their 2008-09 hockey season in Stockholm, Sweden, with back-to-back games against the Ottawa Senators on Oct. 4 and Oct. 5. The two-game series marks just the second time the Penguins will open the regular season outside North America. They opened the 2000-01 season with a pair of games against the Nashville Predators in Tokyo, Japan. Other highlights include and home-and-home series with Stanley Cup champion Detroit Red Wings in a rematch of last season's Stanley Cup final. The Red Wings and former Penguin Marian Hossa will host the Penguins on Nov. 11 and the Red Wings will visit Mellon Arena on Feb. 8. The Penguins will play their home opener at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 11 against the New Jersey Devils. The matchup is the first of a four-game homestand for the Penguins....
