Sfeir says no recovery for Lebanon while civilians remain armed

During his Australian tour, Maronite Patriarch Nasrallah Boutros Sfeir on Thursday stated that Lebanon cannot recover unless weapons are stripped from civilians and Syrian intrusions are hindered. He also emphasized the bond between Australia and Lebanon. The Maronite Patriarch’s many engagements in Australia ended with a meeting in Sydney, where he met with the Prime Minister of Australia, Kevin Rudd, during which the two leaders discussed the Australian-Lebanese relationship and the current situation in Lebanon.
