Summer Film School to focus on society-film context in V4 states

By ČTK / Published 17 July 2008 Uherske Hradiste, South Moravia, July 16 (CTK) - The Panorama of Film Criticism, or a bloc of films focusing on the film and social context in the Visegrad Four states will be one of the most interesting sections at the upcoming Summer Film School (LFŠ) film festival, the organisers told CTK Wednesday. The popular annual event will take place in Uherske Hradiste on July 25-August 3. The LFS has prepared the film bloc, focusing on developments in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland from the film viewpoint, in cooperation with six magazines. The festival guests will include Basque film director Julio Medem, renowned Czech film maker Jan Svankmajer, Czech playwright and author Pavel Kohout, Palestinian film maker Rashid Masharawi and German Veit Helmer, said Pavel Bednarik, head of...
