Italy- great time in Trieste, friendly people, great food and drink, lively students. Super scenery and easy to travel to other countries. Shopping good and Venice nearby- best time is Autumn.Osmitze ( local wine and ham tasting is a must- but not if you have an early class next day! ) France- Bordeaux super if you like wine! People are a bit difficult to get to know. Outside of the city everything shuts at 8 pm. You need to join a club or get a car and get to the Dordogne or the coast. Spain- Madrid is crazy, especially during Semana Santa at the Plaza Mayor. Teaching is incidental as you live for chocolate and churros for breakfast, Sundays in el Retiro and visits to the Prado museum, nearby Toledo is magnificant.
