Stephen Pugh

Stephen Pugh, associate professor of biology at the University of New Hampshire Manchester, has been named the 2008 Teaching Excellence Award recipient. He was recognized at UNH Manchester's 23rd annual commencement proceedings on May 22. Dr. Pugh, of Merrimack, was selected based on student evaluations and recommendations from UNH Manchester students, faculty and staff. The faculty excellence award recognizes a residential faculty member who is an inspiring, challenging and effective teacher whose support and respect for students is evident in and out of the classroom. Dr. Pugh focuses his research interests on the population of meadow voles and other wildlife in a living laboratory on Manchester's Hackett Hill.
