Jail design nears completion

BY LENA MITCHELL Daily Journal Corinth Bureau CORINTH - With one more revision of plans, the Alcorn County Board of Supervisors soon should be able to advertise for bids to build the new county and regional jails. "I think with this next draft we'll be pretty close to final," said Jackson consultant Irb Benjamin, who has helped guide the process. After the death of one of the principals in The LeBlanc Group - the architectural firm originally selected for the project - architect Gil Zaunbrecher of MWL Architects in Lafayette, La., was assigned to work out the design with Benjamin and the people who will occupy the facility.
