Newfoundland and Waterford build on historic link for scholarship fund

By Conor Kane A SCHOLARSHIP exchange programme for business students at Waterford Institute of Technology is to build on age-old links between the south-east region and the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Worth about €7,800 per annum, the Craig Dobbin Memorial Scholarship will rotate in alternate years between business graduates from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Waterford Institute of Technology. The inaugural scholarship will be awarded in 2009 to a memorial graduate who will pursue the Master of Business Studies programme in Waterford, with a WIT graduate to be supported on the Memorial MBA in 2010.
