1975: Sebastian Coe ran his first sub four-minute mile. 1979: Coe first broke the world mile record in Oslo, knocking 0.4 seconds off John Walker's four-year-old mark to set a new time of three minutes 48.95 seconds. 1998: Celtic named Jozef Venglos as their new manager, while Liverpool announced Gerard Houllier would share managerial duties with Roy Evans.
