Main Street and Rangeline Carmel, Indiana Carmel Arts and Design District Readies to “Rock the District” National recording artists Jon McLaughlin and Matt Wertz to perform at daylong festival Carmel, Ind. – On July 19, a strip of historic downtown Carmel known for its haute couture and posh art scene will explode in sound as the summer’s hottest free concert event, Rock the District, returns to central Indiana. Last year’s inaugural Rock the District drew more than 7,000 people to the Arts and Design District from across the Hoosier state.
