Posted to the web 16 July 2008 Ryder Gabathuse Francistown Although details are sketchy, Mmegi can reveal that the main opposition, Botswana National Front (BNF), has formally written the Botswana Congress Party (BCP) calling for the revival of the opposition talks. BCP has confirmed that after an invitation by the Leader of Opposition and BNF president, Otsweletse Moupo in Gaborone last month, he has now formalised the invitation. Moupo last month invited BCP president, Gilson Saleshando and his deputy, Dr Kesitegile Gobotswang whereupon he reportedly laid the foundation for fresh negotiations.
