NEW YORK (Reuters) - A hurricane hunter plane is investigating the low-pressure system about 200 miles east of the Windward Islands to determine if a depression has formed, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said in a report Wednesday. The NHC expects the system to move westward at 20 to 25 miles per hour, bringing gusty winds and heavy rains to the Windward Islands Wednesday and Thursday. The energy market has been watching the system, which was gaining strength on Wednesday. Most models forecast it will cross the Windward Islands and pass near Aruba before marching on to the western Caribbean Sea near the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico over the next five days or so.
