Reporting Mallika Marshall, MD BOSTON (WBZ) ― There is hardly anything scarier than watching your child suffer from alarmingly high fevers—without knowing why. And it's even more frustrating when you are a physician and think you should be able to find the answers. Dr. Greg Licameli was in this position and did find answers. His daughter, Claire, looked like a happy and healthy 6-year-old, but she had suffered from chronic high fevers that started when she was only 3-months old. Licameli says, "we began to realize her fevers were occurring on a monthly basis—up to 106 degrees—for four or five days. And, there was nothing we could do to bring the fevers down."
