Tsonga heads Olympic tennis withdrawals

Australian Open finalist Jo-Wilfried Tsonga out of Olympic tournament Top-seeded Italian Andreas Seppi withdraws from the Austrian Open Sixth-seeded Florent Serra defeated in the opening round of Dutch Open LONDON, England (AP) -- Australian Open finalist Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Stefan Koubek and Karin Knapp have withdrawn from the Beijing Olympic tournament because of injuries. Australian Open semifinalist Tsonga has pulled out of the Olympic tournament following a knee operation. The 23-year-old Tsonga, who lost to Novak Djokovic in the Australian Open final, is still undergoing physical therapy following a knee operation, according to the French tennis federation. "In agreement with Bernard Montalvan, doctor for the French team, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga believes he is not ready to participate in the games," the French federation...
