By ČTK / Published 15 July 2008 Prague, July 14 (CTK) - Only 53 percent of people are in favour of euro adoption in the Czech Republic, compared with a 60 percent euro support on average in the European Union, a Eurobarometer poll has shown. Czech support to the single European currency, which will be introduced in the neighbouring Slovakia soon, has fallen by 7 percent since last year. The euro has the lowest support in Britain where only a third of people agree with its adoption. The euro is supported by less than a half of people also in Sweden and Poland. Support to the euro is lower than in the Czech Republic also in Greece and Denmark where only 51 percent of people are in favour of the single currency.
