Two missing, one injured in Romanian chemical plant blast

BUCHAREST, July 15 (Xinhua) -- An explosion, following which two persons are missing, occurred Tuesday afternoon on Fagaras Chemical Plant Platform, Romania's central county of Brasov. The blast took place when workers were attempting to dismantle an installation of Nitroporos Company, on the chemical platform. For the time being, the causes leading to this explosion have not been identified. A team made up of officials from the Police, Prosecutor's Office, Local Labor Inspectorate and Environmental Guard based in the central Brasov county soon began a probe into the causes for the blast. The blast left two persons -- aged 21 and 25 years old respectively -- missing, while a 22-year-old was taken to Fagaras Hospital having sustained face burns and head injuries.
