BAGHDAD, July 15 (UPI) -- At least 35 people were killed outside of an Iraqi army base Tuesday when two suicide bombers detonated their explosive-laden vests, officials said. The Interior Ministry said most of the casualties were army recruits, CNN said. Sixty-three other people were injured when the two, posing as army recruits, detonated devices outside the recruitment center at Saad military base in Baquba, Iraq, about 37 miles north of Baghdad in Diyala Province. The male bombers set off the explosives about 30 seconds apart in a crowd of more than 200 recruits, military officials said. U.S. military officials said Tuesday they captured an Iranian-trained leader of an explosives cell in Baghdad.
