AZ congressman's trial pushed back to March

12:36 PM Mountain Standard Time on Monday, July 14, 2008 Associated Press TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- Arizona Rep. Rick Renzi's criminal trial has been postponed until late March. U.S. District Judge David Bury in Tucson set trial for March 24, acting on a motion filed jointly by prosecution and defense lawyers. The 50-year-old Republican faces a 35-count indictment that includes conspiracy, wire fraud, extortion, money laundering and insurance fraud. He has pleaded not guilty. He's accused of crafting a swap of federally owned land to benefit himself and former business partner and co-defendant James Sandlin.
