Man Found Dead At Stinson Beach Likely Drowned

MARIN CO., Calif. -- The preliminary results of an autopsy performed Friday on a man's body that washed ashore at Stinson Beach earlier that week point to drowning as the cause of death, the Marin County coroner's office said Monday. The body was so badly decomposed that even the gender and ethnicity could not be immediately be determined, a U.S. Park Police spokesman said. The man's identity is still unknown, the coroner's office said. Toxicology test results are pending.
