Balance of power shifting back to the east coast Remember a couple years ago when the difference in talent between the Western and Eastern Conferences was absolutely unfair? Even this past season, the Eastern conference as a whole hardly held a candle to the west. Well, those days are coming to an end after an off-season that has seen a number of big players and coaches change their address. The Pistons are the only team that has sustained success the past couple of seasons. The Celtics began their transformation in the off-season, and it paid dividends this season as they won the NBA title. After the Celtics' big moves, more teams from the East have followed suit including the Magic, who made a huge upgrade last season when they acquired Rashard Lewis.
