TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras – Toncontin airport in the Honduran capital has received its first international flight since it was closed seven weeks ago after a deadly plane crash. A Boeing 737-700 operated by Panama's Copa Airlines landed Sunday to the cheers of airport employees. Continental Airlines says it will resume flights to Toncontin on July 14. American Airlines plans to renew service Aug. 1. Larger planes had been rerouted to San Pedro Sula in northern Honduras ever since May 30, when a Grupo Taca jet overshot the runway at Toncontin.
