Rough day for Hawai‘i golfers

by Lanaly Cabalo - The Garden Island It was a rough round for Kane‘ohe’s Dean Wilson yesterday at the John Deere Classic. Wilson shot a triple bogey on the par-4 sixth hole, just a few holes after his double bogey on the second. Wilson finished 5-over 76 on the day to drop down the leaderboard, 2-under 211 for the tournament and 13 shots off leaders Eric Axley, Brad Adamonis and Kenny Perry. Parker McLachlin’s round wasn’t that much better. He had only one birdie — on his first hole of the day, the par-5, 10th — to finish 2-over 73 for the day and 1-under 212 for the tournament. McLachlin had back-to-back bogeys on the seventh and eighth holes, and finished with a par on the ninth.
