UHF Development Seeks Marina Permit

Jul. 12--New Bern company UHF Development LLC is seeking a state permit to build a neighborhood marina for its River Station project downtown. The marina is to have 53 boat slips and be built at the intersection of East Front and Queen streets. Hubie Tolson and business partner Eddie Coleman are the principals behind River Station, a 17-lot development at the north end of East Front Street. "The marina will be built to serve the people who live there or who live near there and can walk to it," Tolson said. "This is not going to be a working marina. What we envision is a guy with an outboard who wants to pull his kids tubing." Tolson said his company applied for the marina permit in May. The state gave notice of the permit application this...
