Will MacKenzie fired a seven-under 64 on Friday to move into the lead after the second round of the John Deere Classic. He finished two rounds at 13-under 129 and is two ahead at TPC Deere Run. Kenny Perry, a two-time winner in the last six PGA Tour events, shot a five- under 66 and is tied for second place with overnight co-leader Charlie Wi (67) and Eric Axley (66). The group finished 36 holes at 11-under 131. Brad Adamonis managed a five-under 66 on Friday and is alone in fifth at minus-10. Brian Davis also carded a 66 in round two and is sixth at nine-under 133. They are all chasing an unlikely leader. MacKenzie missed eight weeks to rehab an injured knee, but before his two- month sabbatical, he was not exactly threatening the top of too many leaderboards.
