Rangers lose by scoreboard only

ARLINGTON -- When it was over after 11 innings and the Rangers had to settle for a split of their four-game series with the Angels, there was still a trace of defiance in the clubhouse. "It was a loss," second baseman Ian Kinsler said after the Rangers went down, 11-10, in 11 innings on Thursday night at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. "But hopefully, now everybody in this clubhouse knows we have a good ballclub and can win this division this year." The Rangers trailed, 10-4, in this one after 4 1/2 innings and ended up leaving the ballpark believing they let a victory get away from them. An electrifying throw by left-fielder Brandon Boggs to cut down the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth inning was just one of many plays that had the Rangers believing they could pull this one out.
