By Joe Vieira Friday, July 11, 2008 - Added 6m ago MIDDLETON - Venus Williams was on Centre Court at Wimbledon just seven days ago, defeating younger sister Serena to earn her seventh Grand Slam singles title. Last night, Venus joined her Philadelphia Freedoms teammates in a World TeamTennis match against the Lobsters. The Freedoms held off a furious comeback by the hosts to earn a 22-21 win in front of a capacity crowd of 1,556 at Ferncroft Country Club. This was Venus’ third (and final) WTT appearance and, amazingly, all three have taken place since she earned her 7-5, 6-4 win over Serena at the All-England Club earlier this month.
