Last night, Venus joined her Philadelphia Freedoms teammates in a World TeamTennis match against the Lobsters. The Freedoms held off a furious comeback by the hosts to earn a 22-21 win in front of a capacity crowd of 1,556 at Ferncroft Country Club. This was Venus’ third (and final) WTT appearance and, amazingly, all three have taken place since she earned her 7-5, 6-4 win over Serena at the All-England Club earlier this month.
