Dessena leaves Parma for Samp

Italian UEFA Cup contenders UC Sampdoria have signed midfielder Daniele Dessena from relegated Parma FC for a fee in the region of €4.3m. Academy graduate The Italian Under-21 international, 21, has signed a four-year contract, ending a long association with Parma where he graduated from the youth academy. Dessena made his Serie A debut for the Ducali aged 17, and went on to score five goals in 81 league appearances.
