Prague- The new U.S. administration, no matter what party's candidate wins the presidential election, will not give up the missile defence project that reckons with a radar base on Czech soil, U.S. Missile Defense Agency (MDA) head Henry Obering told Czech Defence Minister Vlasta Parkanova. Obering argued that not only the Republicans, but also the Congress in which the Democrats have majority supported the building of missile defence, Parkanova said. Republican presidential candidate John McCain openly supports the missile defence project, while his rival candidate, Democrat Barack Obama, has a rather sceptical stance on it.
