Hungary PM calls for summit on Nabucco gas pipeline

Hungarian Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany has called for a summit of top-level leaders of countries that will participate in the Nabucco gas pipeline project, government spokesman David Daroczi said in an online briefing Thursday. The meeting was suggested by Gyurcsany on an official visit to Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan on Monday and Tuesday, where the Nabucco pipeline and solutions to Hungary's energy dependence were the main topics on the agenda, Daroczi said. The summit would include the countries of the shareholders, transit countries and suppliers of the planned 31 billion cu m/year Nabucco pipeline project.
