Tashkent: The explosion of a Soviet-era arms in southern Uzbekistan caused an unknown number of casualties, news agencies reported. “The blast occurred in the town of Kagan near the ancient Silk Road town of Bukhara late at night on Wednesday”, the Ferghana news agency reported. “The explosions continued through the night.” The explosion is reported to have shattered windows as far as 12 kilometers away.
