The Journal Pioneer By Jim Brown Journal Pioneer KINKORA – Prepare for roaring engines and black smoke curling into the air in Kinkora this weekend. The Somerset Irish Festival’s antique tractor pull is returning for a second year, featuring as many as 60 tractors. The event runs Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with a break for the festival parade, then resuming at 7 p.m. The pull continues Sunday, starting at 10 a.m. “The grounds will be bigger, there’s more room for tractors and pit areas and stands,” said volunteer firefighter Darren Peters. “We should be able to accommodate a lot more people and we’re a lot closer to the festival events.” The event will be held in a large field specially prepared for the spectacle, behind O’Shea’s Pub and Eatery.
