Kony Orders Mediators to Resume Peace Talks

Posted to the web 10 July 2008 Kenneth Ogosia Nairobi Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) leader Joseph Kony has ordered his team of negotiators to start peace talks with the Ugandan government that could fast track the signing of a peace deal by July 13 or 14. The message was delivered by the leader of LRA peace delegation in Juba Dr David Nyekorach Matsanga who was allegedly sacked by Mr Kony in March. Dr Matsanga said he had resumed his portfolio in the 22 years old rebel movement and appealed for urgent supply of food to LRA soldiers.
