Tectonic earthquake rattles Ternate on Thursday

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - A tectonic earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale jolted Ternate, North Maluku at 1.24 am Thursday morning Western Indonesian Time (WIB). The quake`s epicenter was located at 3.56 degrees northern latitude and 127.71 degrees eastern longitude, around 311 km northeast of Ternate, at a depth of 100 km below sea level.
