Lots of response to the Joy Division post, below. This one comes from an old friend who is a writer in London - who saw them when we were all teenagers. (Damn him!) Here are some of his recollections: Hi Warren, I hope you and the family are having a good summer. I enjoyed reading your blog on seeing Control. I think you would find the recent documentary, Joy Division, even more moving since Peter Hook, the late Tony Wilson, etc. are interviewed at length and quite movingly. I still bore people with my memories of seeing them with Allen B. in August 79 at the long gone Nashville in West Kensington with OMD and A Certain Ratio. I still remember standing on a carpet of plastic pint glasses (probably the only safe thing about the Nashville which definitely had the filthiest toilet in Britain).
