Oh, brother. OK, I don’t like H-3512, the bill that would set up Big Brother spying nests at roadway intersections in cities and towns across the commonwealth. They say the system would work by photographing only the rear license plate of passing cars. They say violators would not be subject to insurance surcharges. They say an appeals system would be in place. I say H-3512 will create a nightmare for the registered owners if their vehicles were being driven by someone else at the time of the violation. I fear that the vendors of these cameras will manipulate their systems, as they have reportedly done in some parts of the country, to increase the number of violations.
