Google Media Server Now Connects With TV

Google has recently come up with a new gadget, called ‘Google Media Server’ or ‘Google Media Player’, that will enable customers to store content on the computer, but watch it on their television set. This is the latest UPnP driven gadget. This new gadget makes it possible for users to interconnect the computer and the TV by storing movies, videos, images etc. on the computer and then watching them later on the big screen at their convenience. Free and commercial software packages are available, to store such data on a hard drive and then watch it on television later. This will be a step by Google to combat the popularity of its rival Microsoft’s offering Windows Media Player.
