SCHENECTADY — Nine people were forced from their Division Street home by fire early this morning. Deputy Fire Chief Rod Rosate said the fire was reported about 12:15 a.m. at 33 Division St. and that firefighters had the blaze under control by about 1:30 a.m. Rosate said firefighters had to briefly evacuate the home after a portion of an attic roof started to collapse, but he quickly added that no firefighters were ever in danger. Rosate said no injuries were reported, but he was unsure of the extent of damage to the house.
